We are nurses, midwives and anesthetists. Some of us are physician assistants and others are nurse practitioners. Together, we constitute a large portion of the total continuum of Kaiser Permanente care givers and we have many worthy stories to tell about our chosen professions.

Caring: Making a Difference One Story at a Time is a journey across that continuum to capture those stories and get in touch with those important moments in our lives. This book is a chance to feel good about ourselves; to remember why we became nurses and care providers in the first place. To see, in black and white, who we are and what we do on a daily basis to care for our patients and others. (WOW Moments)

Caring: Making a Difference One Story at a Time is a deliberate, purposeful, reflective effort to let our stories out into the world. Some are sad and poignant. Others teach us lessons about how we recovered from situations that took us to the precipice and back. Many are joyful and have memorable moments that have changed the way we look at our lives. Healthcare lends itself so naturally to the art of storytelling. (The Power of Storytelling)

Caring: Making a Difference One Story at a Time is a pat on the back, a thank you, a chance to reflect back on ourselves and be uplifted. So – write your stories down and send them to us. Let them out…speak them…write them…tell the world. (Submit Your Story)
